Watts confirmed that Chris Newman has taken over the captain’s role from Richard Springham.,
Chris has just returned from Australia after helping Perth-based YMCC defeat University of Western Australia 2-1 in Melville Toyota League Cup final.

Explaining the change of armbands, Watts said: “Chris has been involved with the club for a number of years. With him coming in as captain and me as coach, we are looking to freshen things up.

“He is an important player for us and I am looking to him to drive things forward.”

The club would also like to wish Chris all the best in his new role, but also would like to thank Richard Springham for all his hard work and commitment to the club and team.
